"My mother lived at Colonial Village Apartments for over 12 years. She lived in a 2nd floor apartment with western views. Her apartment was full of light, in excellent condition, with any issues over the years quickly addressed by the friendly and responsive staff. She really enjoyed her immediate neighbors who were kind and often offered to help when needed. She loved the location in the town center with excellent walkability to stores, parks, the CT river and town events. I am writing this review on her behalf to share her gratitude to the staff for helping make her apartment feel like a true home all those years."

"I simply can not say enough good things about this complex and the team that supports the complex.
The apartments are clean, spacious, and reasonably priced for the area. The people that live here are all fantastic and incredibly friendly. The complex offers everything you could want including ample parking, a beautiful pool, and gym area for its residents.
However, the staff are truly what take this from an awesome apartment complex to something worthy of five stars. From the time that we toured the complex to present Elizabeth has been extremely accommodating and has gone above and beyond to help us out answering any questions and resolving even minor issues. The same can be said about Shamyl and the maintenance crew. They have been incredible in responding to raised requests for maintenance. The maintenance is timely and they make sure the entire issue is resolved every time and without delay.
I can honestly say I have never experienced an apartment complex so on the ball. If you are looking to rent in the area I can not recommend Colonial Village enough firstly for the apartment and amenities but more importantly for the residents, community, and team here.
We hope to stay here for as long as we continue to be renters."

"Coleman Apartments - After living here for two years I can confidently give 5 stars. Naturally issues will arise, but Michael (maintenance) was very quick to resolve any issues with a friendly and positive attitude. Honestly, the five stars is because of him. Tenants are kind and I was concerned with packages in the entry way but never had a problem. It is very well lit at night so you can feel safe walking to and from your car. A huge plus for me was during the snowy months the Property had a plow truck come through the parking lot, obviously you shovel your own vehicle. Many community events in black rock/ walking distance."

This apartment is cozy, spacious, It has big windows, wooden floor and appliances. It also has a gym and laundry on site! Maintenance staff are the best! They are responsive, helpful and they take very good care of the property. It's pet friendly and you get parking space. The neighborhood is quit. It is within walking to distance to many restaurants, supermarkets, beach and train station.. Overall, , I feel safe and I'm so thankful we found Black Rock Garden Apartment. - Norma M"I like Ridgefield Apartments in Poughkeepsie, because, Its a Nice Clean Safe Place to Live with your Family. I have been renting a Two bedroom 900 Square feet with my Mother and we both are Very Happy. The Owners Fredric, Russel, Cooper, have invested heavily in this property. Major improvements inside the apartments and outside of the apartments buildings and grounds and swimming pool and gym and laundry. New Roofs, on all the buildings, New Windows, New Doors, New Kitchen GE appliances, New Dish Washers and New GE Micro wave ovens. Nice Clean Hard Wood Floors, New Cealing Fans, New Lights, Plugs and Light Switches. Granite Counter Tops in the Kitchen and Bathroom. Gail, is the Office Rental Manager, who has been working for years. Is very nice lady and who is very good at her job.
She will help you with your One Year Lease Rental Agreement. George, is the Property Manager, who has been working for many years. ( 30 + ) He is a great man who works long hours and keeps the employees busy working all year round. Brian, is the Superintendent, He is a young man who is a hard worker and makes sure the employees stay busy working. Bill, is the Asst. Superintendent. He is a very nice young man who is busy working on flipping apartments and keeping a eye on his employees. He has been to my apartments many of times to do repairs and is always very nice and polite. David, is the Grounds Supervisor . He has been working here for over 25 years. The Grounds and Landscape are well maintain by the employees that work landscape. They all take pride in the work they do each year.
Also, It was very nice to see the Whole Team working together in the Winter Months cleaning the snow off the parking lots and sidewalks and stairs. Not only shoveling snow and plowing the roads and parking lots working long hours in the cold weather, but they also put down rock salt and Calcium Chloride. In the Spring and Summer you can go for a nice walk on the grounds and get some fresh air and if you are tired they have many green park benches to sit down and just rest. The gym is clean and small, It has air condition in the summer and heat in the winter and there is a bathroom if you need to use it. Its very nice and clean . The swimming pool is a very big in ground pool that has a life guard on duty. I am happy living at Ridgefield Apartments in Poughkeepsie and would recommend Family and Friends to move in."
- Robert H"My wife and I lived here at Dutchess Apartments for 30 years. We raised our children here. In the time we spent here I can only say, it was truly a great place to call home and we will miss living here. It is close to shopping, transportation, schools, post office, everything you’ll ever need. Most you can walk to if you wish. The owners and staff are very nice, helpful, and work very hard to maintain a wonderful place to live. The maintenance was always out serving the needs of the tenants, working hard to address your needs as do the owners who are always willing to hear from you if you have any issues or needs they can help you with. It has a play ground that we watched our children play in and grow up in, a beautiful swimming pool that is very well maintained. When it snows, they start early and work late into the night clearing the snow and with the help of thoughtful tenants moving their cars so they can clear the parking lot, clean it and de-ice it completely. We always had plenty of hot water and heat. The on site manger is wonderful, as is the Superintendent. All of them were and will remain to us like family. If we ever hear of anyone looking for an apartment in Poughkeepsie, there is no place better than Dutchess Apartments that we could recommend. Some of the nicest people also live there, quiet a few almost as long as we did and one great family we will also remain friends with, have lived there and still do, longer than we have. You will always read someone complain about any place they lived. All we can say is don’t listen to anyone who says don’t live here, they are wrong. Some people will never be happy anywhere. As for us and many others who still live here or have lived here and moved on loved it. Make it your home if you seek an apartment to call “home”.

Gail, the office manager is the nicest person on the face of the earth and the maintenance guy Brian is a real sweetheart. The quality, the service, the warmth and cooperation that you will get here during your stay here cannot be found elsewhere. If it wasn’t for the commute to work and our new baby we would have never ever left this heaven on earth. I know for sure not matter where we go, our thoughts of Ridgefield and Gail will always bring great memories and happy times."

My 1 bedroom apt was spacious, with hardwood floors and it was very clean when I arrived. The place is nice (grass, trees, etc.) and the complex in general is well kept. Also we like the pool in the summer to relax a little bit. The manager of the complex, Gail is a very good person and she was always glad to help us. The maintenance workers will come quickly in case of small issues and your road will always be clean when it snows. Overall we had a good experience there."

Every resident has a porch or a balcony or a patio and they are all used by the residents because almost everyone is sociable here. Of course as in any place , you will have your naysayers , but here at Brittany Springs, they are at a minimum.The staff is incredibly nice and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The rent is more than reasonable and all the perks of living here make this a fantastic place to call home."
